Westminster provides its members with many opportunities to get involved in order to proclaim Christ and serve the world. Some of these opportunities are through supporting Westminster so that the many organizations it supports can continue to function and serve the community. Others more directly benefit the Westminster community and help the congregation live out the Church's core values. We are a church, called by Christ to Care, to Share and to Dare. By God's grace we proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship and mission, ministering to all God's children.
Our mission and service begins locally at a variety of places: Altadena Food Bank, Young & Healthy, Union Station. . . then continues around the country and world. Mission teams have worked at Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska, as well as assisted Presbyterian Disaster Relief in New Orleans. This summer some of our youth and adults will be going on a mission trip to Peru (see below). Our congregation also gives generously whenever there is an emergency or crisis anywhere in the world.

Youth Mission Trip to Peru
In July youth from our church and others in the San Gabriel Presbytery will journey to Ayacucho, Peru. There they will meet with the leaders of the Synod of Ayacucho, who will assign them work projects. Our youth will not only have the chance to help the members of that community through mission work but also to interact with and learn from the Peruvian youth in the area. Possible work includes Vacation Bible School and maintenance of church buildings. The most important work will be for our youth to help strengthen our relationship with our brothers and sisters in Peru.
